Are you going to D.C for Memorial Day?
Smedleys and Friends,
Quoting our namesake, VFP National has issued a call for veterans all over the country to come to the Vietnam Memorial Wall and then march on the White House this Memorial Day, May 29-30. Below is the url for this action.
We know of some members who plan to travel to DC for this action. If a lot of members are going, it will be difficult to organize our usual Memorial Day ceremony held in Columbus Park on the Boston waterfront. Therefor, we are asking each of you to please let us know what you plan to do. Are you going to DC? – or – Do you prefer that we organize our usual ceremony here in Boston? We are polling everyone on our list-serve. Please let us know by replying to this notice, or send an email to “vfpsmedley@gmail.com”. Please respond to our request as soon as possible so we can formulate plans either way. Thanks.
