FROM BOB FUNKE:
OK, we’ve cancelled our parade, but, we have a table at Northeastern University to network with environmentalists and others who wish to put an end to our pollution problems. If we consider all of the nations that produce and use munitions, ships and a host of aircraft, one can see that the biggest polluters on the planet are the manufacturers and users of deadly weapons. The energy used by arms manufacturers in a year could power a continent for five years or more. be of invaluable help in the future
As an incentive to come to this outreach, individuals under the VFP mantle will be allowed entry for free! I believe that the military of all countries are by far the biggest polluters, by networking with the participating groups, we can establish an avenue of approach which dovetails perfectly with our goal of world peace.
I will be there about 8:30 to set up the table, it would be fantastic if we could get as many members as possible to this event, spreading out our word while learning about allies that can be of invaluable help in the future. One of the goals the new Ex-Comm spoke of was reaching out to new sources and working together, I did not expect this to drop into our laps this quickly, but hey it’s about time we got a break!
The address for the garage is 797 Columbus Ave., Roxbury Crossing. Street parking is free on Sundays
The event will be in the Curry Student Center.
I don’t want to bore all of you with more of my feeble attempts to describe this any further, so….here is the link to the event: http://www.localenvironmentalaction.org/
